so i've mentioned this friend of my husband's who started writing to me out of the blue about three years ago, decades after we d'aed.

last august i wrote to her about the arc and jackson's summons.

i gave her the website details so she could see for herself.

From a mainstream Christian (Christiandom) perspective, my response to your 'friend' might be: "yes...leave it to Jehovah/Jah/God/YHWH. Leave it to God and God alone. He's the almighty, with Jesus as his mediator. Your 'governing body' does not speak for God. No man, or group of men can do that. I'd say personally, that in light of all the blatant child-abuse coverups which are based directly on policy written by YOUR gov body....that it's PROOF ALONE that your not J-vah's organization. If anything, you're probably anti-Christian, but I'm not going to shun you for that. It's not my place. That's between you and God. Oh...and may God bless you."

That'd be a 'Christian' response, FWIW. Coming from someone like me who probably spends more time in shitty 3rd world bars, than churches. Still, I mean well.

Letter to be read at meeting this week about the downsize

a family member who is a bethelite informed me today that there is a letter to be read soon ( this week or next) concerning the downsizing.

so probably someone who has their midweek meeting early in the week will be able to fill in the details.

Isn't that from the same script that Sam Herd read at the 2015 'Annual Meeting?' Also, is there an available download for THAT letter (like so many other BOE letters that are out there)?

Last, it'd be nice to see a back-to-back clip of Lett's JW broadcast, from earlier this year, when he says "there is more money going out, than coming in," followed by Herd's statement to the contrary. My Youtube editing skills are lacking...as is my spare time. But, maybe someone could tackle it.

Im asking because I'm a non-JW who is married to one. I'd like to stuff the above financial reports right in her elder/elderette friends faces. 😊

Let us not forget the Borg has billions of dollars worth in property/assets at their disposal.

Exactly. But, since there's no liquidity there, they are begging for cash, stopping (or slowing) new construction, and laying off Bethelites, ect. Sure, they can sell off their property assets, but that won't turn a profit overnight. It would ALSO cause them to further cannibalize their organization, which might serve to wake more JWs up. I tend to think they're screwed either way.

I'd like to dig up previous Watchtower articles/writings that contradict all this. I'm sure they put something out there before, which CRITICIZES other religions for doing JUST THAT: child baptisms.

I'm sure that the JWs have used 1 Cor 7:14 (children sanctified through parent's faith) before, to defend AGAINST child baptisms.

If any former JWs know if any such Watchtower writings, please post some references. I'd love to smear it in their faces and make 'em eat it.
